Drotske wields the axe

Christchurch - Cheetahs coach Naka Drotske has made the obvious change to the halfbacks after the performances by scrumhalf Sarel Pretorius and Riaan Viljoen against the Brumbies last week, for Saturday's Super 14 match against Crusaders in Christchurch.

They start in place of Tewis de Bruyn and Naas Olivier respectively after Pretorius and Viljoen brought a greater intensity to the Cheetahs' play when they came on as replacements.

Barry Geel also gets a run at centre in place of Meyer Bosman who is rested for the match, and Davon Raubenheimer is rewarded for his good performance last week with a starting place as No 8 in place of the suspended Kabamba Floors.

Danwel Demas returns on the wing in place of Wilmaure Louw.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
