Cape Town - Stormers coach Allister Coetzee admits it will be a challenge without having the expertise of Rassie Erasmus to call on but says it's a challenge he will tackle "without any fear".
Erasmus earlier this month resigned form his position as director of coaching at the Western Province Rugby Union.
"Look, it only makes it more of a challenge," Coetzee told Die Burger newspaper when asked on the road ahead without Erasmus.
"We are rugby friends and will always stay in contact. I regularly talk with Rassie about players and where the game is heading. We will definitely miss him for all his new ideas."
But despite the big loss of Erasmus, the coach is not worried about tackling the season with the management team at his disposal.
"I have a quality management team and a good group of players around me. That's why I can take this challenge on without any fear, rather than worry about all possible hiccups and problems.
"It's almost like a guy who likes the adrenaline to flow and to jump off places. I'm driven by the desire to get things right."
