Cape Town - Defending champions Panasonic Wild Knights defeated Frans Steyn's Toshiba Brave Lupus 50-15 in Japan's second Top League semi-final.

According to the SA Rugby mag website, Steyn's impact was limited and barring two penalties and one conversion, he failed to have any sort of influence.

Former Wallabies utility back Berrick Barnes contributed 25 points as his team notched up a half-century.

JP Pietersen failed to feature for the Wild Knights, but is expected to return for next weekend's final.

The Wild Knights will now clash with Yamaha Júbilo after they saw off Gary Gold's Kobelco Steelers 43-12 in Saturday's first semi-final.
