Stander to replace Kirsten

Paris - Golden Lions lock Jannie Stander will replace the injured Jannes Kirsten in the Junior Springbok squad at the IRB Junior World Championship in France, team management confirmed on Monday.

Kirsten sustained a fractured cheek bone in a training session on Saturday and was ruled out of action for approximately six weeks.

Stander was a member of the SA U20 training squad that played three away matches against Argentina earlier this year.

South Africa face Wales on Tuesday in Vannes in one of two JWC semi-finals and coach Dawie Theron will name his match squad later today.
