Matfield wishes Bakkies well

Cape Town - Former Springbok lock Victor Matfield has wished his friend and former team-mate Bakkies Botha well after his return to the Springbok fold.

Botha was on Thursday included in the Bok starting team for Sunday's Test against Scotland in Edinburgh. It will be the 34-year-old Botha's first Test appearance since he and Matfield played together at the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

Matfield posted the following on Twitter after Botha was included to start against the Scots: Congrats @BakkiesBotha4 I think I'm going to be full of goose bumps if you run onto the field. Well done Combo. Enjoy

Matfield retired after the 2011 World Cup, but was recently rumoured to be making a comeback in 2014.

Only time will tell if Botha and Matfield ever play together again...
