Cape Town - Springbok lock Juandré Kruger has warned his team-mates of the threat his former team-mate, prop Euan Murray, could pose.
Tighthead prop Murray was on Wednesday recalled to the Scotland side to play against South Africa at Murrayfield in Edinburgh on Saturday. Murray missed last Sunday's 51-22 defeat to world champions New Zealand due to religious reasons.
Kruger and Murray were team-mates when the Springbok played his rugby for Northampton Saints a couple of seasons ago.
"I played with Euan for two seasons at Northampton Saints in England. And everyone knows he is one of the top scrummagers in the world," Kruger told the Die Burger's website.
Murray played in Scotland's 21-17 upset win over the Springboks in Edinburgh two years ago, and was also man-of-the-match when the Boks sneaked past (14-10) the hosts there in 2008. Murray will come up against Gurthrö Steenkamp, who was the only change to the Springbok pack from the team that beat Ireland 16-12 in Dublin last week.
The Boks will target the set pieces after boasting a 100% success rate in scrums and lineouts last week.
"We put a lot of emphasis on scrummaging, kick-offs and lineouts - because that's where the foundation is laid," said Kruger.
Kick-off on Saturday is at 16:30 (SA time).
