Cape Town - Willie le Roux is unsure if he’ll represent the Springboks in future, but the fullback is not having sleepless nights over the matter.

The 28-year-old currently plies his trade at English club Wasps and played the last of his 41 Tests in the horror 20-18 defeat to Italy in Florence in 2016.

In an interview with The Rugby Paper, Le Roux said his current focus is only on Wasps and that he is enjoying his stint in the English Premiership.

“I am a proud South African and you will never know what will happen in future, but for now, it's all about being here and contributing as a Wasp and getting us to another Premiership final,” Le Roux said.

“Playing in front of 80 000 against Exeter at Twickenham last May was an awesome experience, but just losing at the end was a sickener and it's all about getting back and winning. That's my No 1 priority and I've had no contact with South Africa.”

Le Roux joined Wasps in 2017 having played for Boland, Griquas, the Cheetahs and the Sharks while in South Africa.

He also represented the Canon Eagles in Japan between 2015 and 2017.
