Vermeulen in the fast lane: Bok has new ride in Japan

Cape Town - Springbok No 8 Duane Vermeulen is settling into life in Japan where he is currently training for the upcoming domestic season which gets underway this weekend.

Vermuelen signed a deal with the club in June, effectively ruling himself out of representing the Springboks in the Rugby Championship although reports suggest that Rassie Erasmus is trying to do a deal with the Spears to release him for the clash against New Zealand in Wellington on September 15.

In the meantime, the man known as the 'God of Thunder' took to Twitter to show off his latest ride, an electric scooter.

It's not yet clear whether Vermeulen will join another club after his Japan stint.
