Strauss Bok skipper No 57. But who were the first 56?

Cape Town - Bulls hooker Adriaan Strauss was on Monday confirmed as the 57th Springbok skipper for the three-Test series against Ireland.

The Boks and Irish will do battle at Newlands (June 11), Ellis Park (June 18) and the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium (June 25).

To date, the Boks have had 56 captains stretching back to 1891.
