Cape Town - Former Springbok wing Chester Williams has launched his own beer that will be sold during the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.
Chester's Lager and Chester's IPA was launched at a function in Stellenbosch on Wednesday evening that was attended by friends and partners of the 1995 World Cup winner.
Williams confirmed that a shipment of the beers had already been sent off to Japan and that it would be the only South African beer on sale during the tournament.
The 49-year-old played 27 Tests for the Boks between 1993 and 2000, scoring 14 tries in that time.
Since retiring he has been active on the coaching circuit including stints with the Springbok Sevens team, Super Rugby's Cats and the Pumas.
