PICTURE: Springbok, Proteas captains catch some waves

Cape Town - Springbok captain Siya Kolisi and Proteas skipper Faf du Plessis caught a few waves together at Muizenberg in Cape Town over the weekend.

Kolisi posted a photograph to his Instagram page of himself standing on the beach alongside Du Plessis, surfboards in hand.

"Another great ‘Board Meeting’ with my brother," Kolisi wrote.

"Too much love for you."

Du Plessis, who captained the Proteas to seventh place at what was a disappointing 2019 Cricket World Cup campaign, has been named as the Test captain for October's three-match tour of India.

Kolisi, meanwhile, is expected to skipper the Springboks at the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan next month.

He will be named in Rassie Erasmus' 31-man squad that will be named on Monday at 15:00.

The Boks play their first match at the World Cup on Saturday, September 21 when they take on defending champions and pre-tournament favourites, New Zealand, in Yokohama.
