Cape Town - Over 50 000 tickets have been sold for Saturday's clash between the Springboks and England at Ellis Park.
With the stadium able to accommodate 60 000, it looks like the final figure will fall just short of capacity with Lions management confirming to Sport24 on Friday that they are expecting around 55 000.
Despite not being quite sold out, 55 000 people would still be an encouraging number for SA Rugby.
South Africa's Super Rugby sides have struggled to fill their stadiums throughout 2018 so far, but a near-full Ellis Park will prove that there is still an appetite for the game in the country.
New Zealand's clash against France at Eden Park, meanwhile, has been confirmed as a sell out with around 46 000 fans expected.
Saturday's clash between the Boks and England kicks off at 17:05.
