England's 37-21 win was their first over South Africa since 2006. The Springboks were unbeaten in their last 12 matches against their old foes, with a 14-14 draw in 2012 the closest the English came to victory.

Overall, the Springboks still boast a 23-13 win-loss record, including two draws.
