Fourie, 36, was part of Gary Gold’s coaching staff during last year’s Rugby World Cup but has now decided to get involved at schools and club level in South Africa.

He told Afrikaans newspaper Rapport that he is helping as a consultant at Krugersdorp-based high school Noordheuwel and also at Roodepoort rugby club.

Fourie, a former Lions and Stormers star, played 72 Tests for the Springboks between 2003 and 2013.

Before joining the USA in January 2019, Fourie was involved in a coaching capacity at Australian outfit the Western Force.
