Date set for Bok squad announcement

Cape Town - The date has been confirmed for when Springbok coach Allister Coetzee will reveal his Rugby Championship squad.

According to a SA Rugby press release, Coetzee will name his squad on Saturday, August 6, following the Super Rugby final between the Hurricanes and Lions in Wellington.

Kick-off is at 09:35 SA time.

While the Wallabies have already named a 36-man training squad and the All Blacks will confirm their squad on Monday morning (10:30 NZ time), Coetzee has additional time to no doubt ponder - perhaps - how many Lions players he can select...

The Springboks' opening Rugby Championship match against Argentina will take place on Saturday, August 20 in Nelspruit.
