Bulls proud of Bok skipper

Pretoria - The Blue Bulls Company (Pty) Ltd and Blue Bulls Rugby Union on Tuesday congratulated Adriaan Strauss on being named the 57th captain of the Springboks.

Strauss, the incumbent Bulls leader, was named captain by new Springbok coach Allister Coetzee in Stellenbosch on Monday, where the squad has assembled to prepare for the series against Ireland.

Barend van Graan, CEO of the BBC, commented: "It is fantastic to have one of our own captaining the Springboks again. We have a rich tradition of producing national captains and Adriaan do us proud. I have no doubt that he will do a very good job."

Gert Wessels, president of the BBRU said: "Congratulations to Adriaan and all the other Bulls named in the squad. We are proud of them. Allow me also to wish the new coach and squad all of the best for the upcoming series. We are right behind you and will support you all the way."
