Boks have historical edge at Twickenham

Cape Town - The Springboks, largely unfancied for Saturday's clash in Twickenham, have not lost against England in 12 attempts.

It has been a fantastic run that dates back to 2006, but a look at South Africa's record at Twickenham paints a slightly different picture, thought the Boks still have edge.

The sides have met on 19 occasions at the historic venue, with South Africa having won 11 of those clashes.

Post-isolation, there have been 14 matches at Twickenham with each side having won 7.

Of course, history will count for little when the sides meet on Saturday.

England have won 9 out of 9 Tests under new coach Eddie Jones, while the Boks have won 4 out of 9 under their new boss, Allister Coetzee.

South Africa's worst defeat at Twickenham came in 2002 under Rudolf Straeuli, when the Boks were hammered 53-3.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
