Boks do sit-ups for 81-year-old Gary Player

Cape Town - As they prepare to face the Barbarians at London's Wembley Stadium this Saturday, the Springboks have wished legendary South African golfer Gary Player a Happy Birthday.

Player, who won nine major golf championships, turns 81 on Tuesday, November 1, 2016.

Player has credited a rigorous fitness regime as cornerstone for his success, with the golfer often boasting he still does over a 1 000 sit-ups daily.

The Springboks wished Player well on their official Twitter page, accompanied by a picture of backline star Jesse Kriel doing a sit-up.

After Saturday's clash against the BaaBaas, the Boks will tackle England (London, November 12), Italy (Florence, November 19) and Wales (Cardiff, November 26).
