Cape Town - Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer is expected to unveil the interim Springbok captain for the upcoming Incoming Series in Cape Town on Tuesday.
The announcement is scheduled to take place at the Springboks' media conference in Cape Town.
Meyer's hand was forced when incumbent skipper, Jean de Villiers was ruled out of action for up to eight weeks with a knee injury.
Speculation was rife as to who would succeed De Villiers for the June series of Test matches against Wales and Scotland, with stalwart Victor Matfield said to be leading the chase involving "seven or eight players" Meyer initially had in mind.
It was understood that Meyer had already made his decision on Sunday, with the initial announcement expected to be made on Monday.
However, come 09:00 on Tuesday morning, all will be revealed as Meyer prepares his squad for their friendly against a World XV at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday.
