Kruger presence worries Meyer

Cape Town - Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer is worried about the presence of lock Juandré Kruger in the World XV team ahead of their clash at Newlands on Saturday.

Meyer, in an interview with Die Burger's website, said Kruger's knowledge of the Springbok lineout calls could be disruptive.

Meyer said Kruger was close to himself being included in the 36-man Springbok squad for four internationals this month.

"Every now and then we send out e-mails with information about our lineouts. He (Kruger) has been our lineout leader in the past and knows exactly what we do. It's concerning," said Meyer.

The Boks are not prepared to change their calls just for Saturday's game though. Meyer said they want to use it to prepare for the following week's Test against Wales.

Meanwhile, Kruger is one of SEVEN South Africans in the World XV squad. The others are scrumhalf Rory Kockott, centre Wynand Olivier, lock Alistair Hargreaves, hooker Craig Burden and props Julian Redelinghuys and Schalk Ferreira.

Former Bok coach Nick Mallett is in charge of the World XV side, with Alan Solomons as his assistant.

After Saturday's game, the Boks play two Tests against Wales (Durban, June 14 and Nelspruit, June 21) and one against Scotland (Port Elizabeth, June 28).
