Cape Town - Fullback Willie le Roux's participation for the remainder of the Springboks' year-end tour is in doubt.
According to the SA Rugbymag website, Le Roux picked up a cheekbone injury in last Saturday's 31-28 win over England at Twickenham.
Team doctor Craig Roberts revealed that the injury occurred right after Le Roux delivered a spectacular offload which resulted in a try for Cobus Reinach.
Le Roux will go for a scan on Monday afternoon to determined the extent of the injury.
Meanwhile, prop Jannie du Plessis will also undergo a scan after he injured his leg against England.
Ruan Dreyer has already been called up as cover for Du Plessis.
The Boks tackle Italy in Padova on Saturday, before concluding their tour against Wales in Cardiff the following week.
