Wyn Jones ruled out of Six Nations

London - Wales prop Wyn Jones has been released from Wales's Six Nations squad due to a hamstring injury he picked up during Saturday's 37-27 defeat against Ireland.

The Welsh Rugby Union said he would continue his recovery with the Scarlets' medical team, adding that no replacement had yet been called up.

Jones, 26, has won eight caps and featured off the bench in Wales's first three games of this season's Six Nations against Scotland, England and Ireland.

Wales resume their campaign against Italy in Cardiff on March 11.

They are fourth in the table with an opening victory against Scotland followed by defeats against England and Ireland in Dublin.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
