Cape Town - The Blitzboks made an unexpected stop before starting their Canada Sevens campaign in Vancouver at the weekend.
On their way to the stadium, the Blitzboks stopped their bus with team members getting off to help a woman beside the road whose car had a flat tyre (see below).
The South Africans had an up-and-down tournament, reaching the Cup final on Sunday where they lost 19-7 to England, after having drawn with their English foes in the Pool phase.
Despite their defeat, the Blitzboks maintained their strong overall series lead.
The South Africans started the tournament, the second of the North American leg of the World Series, 24 points ahead of Fiji in second place. They returned to South Africa 23 points ahead of England, who moved into second spot on the overall log.
The lead over Fiji, current series champions and Olympic gold medalists, is now 26 points with four tournaments remaining in the 2016/17 series.
The next tournament, in Hong Kong, starts on April 7.
