Cape Town - The 55 000-seater Cape Town Stadium is expected to be packed for both days of this weekend's HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series tournament.
Those with tickets may have been concerned, then, that Friday in Cape Town wasn't pleasant at all.
Heavy rain greeted Capetonians on Friday morning - not the most enjoyable conditions for sitting in the grand stands watching a day of rugger!
But, the good news is that the weather gods look set to play ball on Saturday and Sunday.
While Cape Town was cashing in on some much-needed rain on Friday, the weather forecast for the weekend was looking much better.
According to Accuweather.com, Saturday would be "pleasant and warmer with a full day of sunshine" while the temperature would reach a high of 23 degrees Celsius.
The weather is looking even better for Sunday, where "brilliant sunshine" awaits with a high of 28 degrees Celsius and, again, no rain.
So Cape Town will be back to its glorious self just in time to host the world in what has become one of the finest events on the local sporting calendar.
