Specman: A 'massive honour' to play with Blitzbok band of brothers

Cape Town - Rosko Specman made a triumphant return to the Blitzboks in a 15-0 win over the New Zealand Sevens side at the Dubai Sevens.

Specman, who opted for Super Rugby with the Bulls over the World Rugby Sevens Series earlier this year was named Player of the Final and said it was a memorable performance by the Blitzboks to win the final and shut-out New Zealand.

“It was such a massive honour to play with these guys again,” said Specman.

“It is such a great feeling to know that when you run onto the field with this band of brothers, nothing will be left out there.

“It is such a privilege to be able to express your God-given talent with a team like this. I play with a smile on my face because I enjoy every second of being out there. I love this game.”

Specman was the leading try scorer for South Africa, dotting down on four occasions during the tournament.

The Blitzboks now return home for the Cape Town Sevens from December 13 to 15.
