Cape Town - Springbok Sevens flyer Seabelo Senatla was named Player of the Tournament after the completion of the World Rugby Sevens Series event in Dubai.
The Blitzboks flyer finished top scorer at the tournament with 55 points (11 tries) and helped his country to a 26-14 win over Fiji in the Cup Final.
Team-mate Chris Dry was named Player of the Final. Dry finished the tournament as top tackler (23 tackles) and Werner Kok came in third with 20 tackles.
South Africa also finished top in try-scoring stakes, with 30 tries at an average of five per match. England and Fiji were in second place with 25 tries each.
For their efforts, the South Africans took home 22 log points for the early lead in the standings.
They will be the defending champions at their home event at Cape Town Stadium.
