Senatla makes Las Vegas Dream Team

Cape Town - Springbok Sevens speedster Seabelo Senatla was included in the Las Vegas Dream Team following the conclusion of the World Rugby Sevens Series event there this past weekend.

The Blitzboks finished third in the tournament after beating hosts USA 21-10 in the Bronze Final at Sam Boyd Stadium.

Earlier, the South Africans lost 14-12 to Australia in the Cup semi-finals.

However, the performance of Senatla this past weekend again caught the eye of tournament organisers, who included him in their Dream Team for the event.

Tournament champions Fiji had two representatives - Jerry Tuwai and Jasa Veremalua - in the team, while Cup finalists Australia also had two players: Allan Fa'alava'au and Sam Meyers.

Japan’s Lomano Lemeki and America’s Perry Baker made up the rest of the team.

Following their victory, the Fijians took the outright lead on the World Rugby Sevens Series standings with 91 points after five rounds.

The Blitzboks are placed second on 86 points and they are followed by New Zealand (82) and Australia (73).
