Ex-Blitzbok gets coaching gig in NZ

Cape Town - Former Springbok Sevens captain Mpho Mbiyozo has been afforded a coaching opportunity at the Belfast Rugby club in Christchurch, New Zealand.

The 36-year-old, who captained South Africa at the Sevens World Cup in 2009, was a few years ago appointed as an assistant coach at the Boland Rugby Institute.

He said on Twitter he was humbled by the opportunity afforded to him by the Christchurch-based club.

He will be their director of rugby.
