Blitzboks too strong for gutsy Brazil

Cape Town - The Blitzboks have won their second Pool C encounter at the Vancouver Sevens, beating series newcomers Brazil by 26-7.

Brazil opened the scoring through captain Lucas Duque who cut through the Blitzbok defence to score a converted try.

The South American minnows continued to have the better of the early exchanges with the Blitzboks giving away numerous penalties.

The Blitzboks finally managed to get on the board in the 4th minute with a try from Branco du Preez and added a second through Tim Agaba to lead 12-7 at half-time.

South Africa extended their lead in the second half with further tries from Seabelo Senatla and Justin Geduld.

The Blitzboks now face Argentina in their final pool match at 3.16 (SA time).
