Blitzboks thump Samoa in Dubai

Cape Town - The Springbok Sevens side started their Dubai Sevens campaign on a high note by crushing Samoa 33-7 in their first game on Friday.

The Blitzboks, who led 19-7 at the break, ran in five tries against a hapless Samoan outfit.

The South Africans were superior in the contact situations and physically proved too strong for the islanders.

In their other pool games on Friday, the Blitzboks will face Russia (10:44 SA time) and Scotland (17:12 SA time).
