Blitzboks thrashed by NZ in Vancouver

Cape Town - New Zealand have thrashed the Blitzboks 33-14 in their final Pool D match at the Vancouver Sevens in Canada.

New Zealand were quickest out of the blocks, racing into a 14-0 lead with converted tries in the first three minutes by Scott Curry and Dylan Coullier.

A further converted try before half-time by Ngahori McGarvey Black saw them to a 21-0 lead at the break.

The Blitzboks managed two converted tries in the second half, thanks to Dylan Sage and Kyle Brown but New Zealand added two of their own with Coullier getting a second and Luck Masirewa the final score just on full-time.

The Blitzboks now face Australia in the cup quarter-finals at 20:08 (SA time).
