Cape Town - The Springbok Sevens team are sweating on the availability of star duo Werner Kok and Cecil Afrika.

Kok, World Rugby’s Sevens Player of the Year last season, injured his knee during the Dubai Sevens event this past weekend, while Afrika injured his hamstring.

The duo will undergo medical tests on Monday to determine their availability for this weekend’s event in Cape Town.

After losing 21-19 to the USA in the Cup quarter-finals in Dubai, the Blitzboks reached the Plate final where they beat Australia 19-14.

The Cape Town Sevens draw for Saturday, December 12:

Pool A: Fiji, Argentina, Scotland, Russia

Pool B: England, South Africa, Kenya, Zimbabwe

Pool C: USA, Australia, Wales, Portugal

Pool D: New Zealand, Samoa, France, Canada
