Cape Town - The Blitzboks have been drawn alongside Samoa, Scotland and Japan for the upcoming Hong Kong Sevens.
This comes after Neil Powell's men returned to winning ways with their first World Series triumph of the season on Sunday (Monday morning, SA time) when they beat France in the final of the Vancouver Sevens.
The Blitzboks, currently fourth in the 2018/19 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series standings, will look to build on that result and they have been given what looks a favourable draw.
Pool C, meanwhile, is the 'group of death' with Fiji, New Zealand, Australia and Kenya pooled together.
The Hong Kong Sevens will take place between April 5-7.
Hong Kong Sevens draw:
Pool A: South Africa, Samoa, Scotland, Japan
Pool B: France, Argentina, Canada, Portugal
Pool C: Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, Kenya
Pool D: USA, England, Wales, Spain
