Blitzboks power into Dubai Cup semi-finals

Cape Town - The South African Sevens team proved too strong for their Argentina opponents in the Cup quarter-finals at the Dubai Sevens on Saturday.

The Blitzboks won 12-5 after leading 12-0 at half-time.

Justin Geduld and Rosko Specman scored tries for the Blitzboks with Geduld adding a conversion.

Matias Osadczuk replied with a try for the Pumas.

The Blitzboks will play Samoa in the semi-finals at 13:22 SA time after the south Pacific islanders shocked Australia 19-14 in their quarter-final.

The other semi-final (13:00) will see England face New Zealand after England beat France 19-12 and the All Blacks trounced the USA 26-5 in their respective quarter-finals.
