Cape Town - The Blitzboks remained unbeaten on the first day’s action of the Las Vegas Sevens after beating Canada in their second match on Saturday morning (SA time).
The Springbok Sevens side ran in three tries to beat the Canadians 19-12, having led 14-5 at the break.
Earlier on Saturday, the Blitzboks beat Wales 26-21 in their first game.
South Africa’s final pool game is against England on Sunday morning 00:10 (SA time).
The Blitzboks will however be worried over the fitness of Kyle Brown, who limped off early in the second half of the Canada game.
They also received a blow in their game against Wales when Werner Kok was ruled out of the event with a jaw injury.
His place for the remainder of the weekend was taken by Ruhan Nel.
