Cape Town - Fiji have soundly beaten the Blitzboks in the semi-final of the Hamilton Sevens, the third event in the 2018/2019 World Sevens Series.
The Islanders dominated South Africa , winning 29-7 after leading 14-0 at half-time.
They scored four tries in the process with Kalione Nasako, Aminiasi Tuimba (2), Vilimoni Botitu and Waisea Nacququ crossing the whitewash.
Nacququ and Botitu added two conversions.
South Africa's only try was scored and converted by Selvyn Davids in the dying minutes of the match.
Earlier, the Blitzboks had defeated Samoa 28-19 in a quarter-final matchup, scoring four converted tries through Chris Dry, Dewald Human, Werner Kok and Davids.
South Africa will now contest the Bronze final against New Zealand (08:10 SA time) while Fiji and the United States will face-off in the final of the competition.
