Cape Town - The South African Sevens team have beaten Scotland in their second Pool D match at the Word Rugby Sevens Series tournament in Vancouver, Canada.

The Blitzboks won 21-0 after leading 7-0 at half-time.

Siviwe Soyizwapi opened the scoring for the Blitzboks with a try that was converted by Branco du Preez in the only scoring in the first half.

Skipper Kyle Brown added his name to the tryscorers sheet in the second half with Du Preez again on target with the extra two points.

Youngster Zain Davids completed the tryscoring seconds from the final whistle with De Preez making it a perfect three-from-three in terms of conversions.

In their opening match, the Blitzboks beat Russia 38-7.

The Blitzboks will conclude their pool play against New Zealand at 02:56 (SA time) on Sunday morning.

The winner of that match will face the runners-up in Pool A - which includes the USA, Australia, Uruguay and hosts Canada - in the quarter-finals.
