Cape Town - Blitzboks speedster Cecil Afrika was the only South African included in the Dream Team for the USA Sevens in Las Vegas this past weekend.
The Springbok Sevens side finished fourth after losing 26-22 to Fiji in the bronze final.
The South Africans had earlier lost 12-10 to Argentina in the Cup semi-finals.
But there was some consolation for Afrika, who was included in the Dream Team for the event.
Champions USA had three players - Perry Baker, Ben Pinkelman and Danny Barrett - while the rest of the team comprised of Matias Osadczuk (Argentina), Jerry Tuwai (Fiji) and Luke Morgan (Wales).
