Cape Town - Injury niggles could see Ryan Kankowski miss out on representing South Africa at the upcoming World Cup Sevens in Moscow.
According to Die Burger, the Sharks loose forward only had minimal game time on the Blitzbokke's Roma Sevens campaign over the weekend.
Springbok Sevens coach Paul Treu will announce his final squad of 12 players for the world showpiece event on Thursday and the coach admitted that he's sweating over the availability of Kankowski.
"It was tough for Ryan. He picked up a few injuries and didn't play a lot of games (in Italy). It was his second injury since he joined us. So it will be tough for him (to be included).
"(But) while he was on the field he was very good," said Treu.
The Blitzbokke won the Roma tournament by beating invitational side Heliantide 59-5 in the final on Saturday.
The World Cup Sevens takes place from June 28-30.
