Cape Town - The Blitzbokke have reached the Cup semi-finals at the Port Elizabeth Sevens after a hard-fought win over the US on Sunday.
The South Africans won 17-7, after leading 12-7 at the break.
The Springbok sevens side scored three tries via Ruwellyn Isbell, Cornal Hendricks and Cheslin Kolbe, with Cecil Afrika adding one conversion.
Nick Edwards scored for America, while Folau Niua converted the try which put them into the lead (7-5) for a brief period in the first half.
South Africa will now play New Zealand (16:49 kick-off) in the semi-finals after the Kiwis thrashed Wales 35-5 in their quarter-final.
