Blitzbokke hold off Kenya

Cape Town - The Blitzbokke started their Glasgow Sevens campaign on a high note after defeating Kenya 17-14 at Scotstoun Stadium on Saturday.

Paul Delport scored a brace, while speedster Cornal Hendricks also dotted down for South Africa, who led 12-7 at the break.

Willy Ambaka scored in the first half as Kenya briefly led 7-5, while Collins Injera claimed a late try to make the scoreline more respectable.

The South Africans face Canada (16:04 SA time) and Samoa (19:59) in their other group games later on Saturday.
