320 000 pints in Hong Kong!

Cape Town - Rugby fans again had a ball of a time in the recently completed Hong Kong Sevens tournament, with some 320 000 pints of beer consumed at the weekend, the 2Oceansvibe website reports.

Overall IRB Sevens World Series standings

New Zealand won the tournament on Sunday when they brushed aside England 26-7 in the Cup final to reclaim top spot from South Africa in the overall Sevens World Series standings.

The Blitzbokke lost 14-7 to England in the Cup quarter-finals but went on to win the Plate competition, beating Wales 19-14 in the final.

The next event on the sevens calender is scheduled for Edinburgh on the weekend of May 3/4.
