Cape Town - Former Springbok lock Alistair Hargreaves says his Saracens side are bracing for a physical onslaught from the Bulls.
"They are always an extremely tough team to play against. They are physical and have traditionally produced a very big pack of forwards, and it promises to be a great clash here in north London. The last two games at Allianz Park against the Sharks and Western Province have both proved to be great occasions, and as a team we can’t wait to face the Bulls this January."
The match will form part of the Bulls' preparations for this year's Super Rugby competition. The men from Pretoria start their campaign at home against arch-rivals, the Stormers, on February 14.
Saracens will play Bulls in a friendly match at Allianz Park on Saturday, January 31.
The Bulls will become the third South African team to have clashed with Saracens in recent times, after Western province and the Sharks travelled to London last year to tackle the English club.
Saracens won both games while they also beat the Springboks 24-23 in 2009.
Interestingly, Hargreaves played for the Springboks that day when he partnered Andries Bekker in the second row.
But the 28-year-old left the Sharks in 2012 to join Saracens, whom he now captains.
In an interview with The South African website, Hargreaves said his team knows what to expect from the Bulls.
