Cape Town - Sydney Roosters superstar Sonny Bill Williams has dropped a bombshell, hinting he may return to rugby league.
The foxsports.com.au website reports, Williams has revealed that he could back in the NRL at age 31 after two years with New Zealand rugby union.
And NRL chief executive Dave Smith stressed on Tuesday he wanted Williams back.
The dual international remains sidelined with an injured thumb but is expected back before the finals as his Roosters seek back-to-back titles.
Williams said he was ready and pumped for a final assault in rugby league before then throwing out a line that will delight all NRL fans.
