SA prop joins Stade Francais

Cape Town - Leinster prop Heinke van der Merwe has agreed to join French Top 14 side Stade Francais on a two-year deal.

Van der Merwe, capped four times for the Springboks, arrived at Leinster from the Golden Lions in 2010.

Van der Merwe leaves having won two Heineken Cup titles during his time at the club.

While Leinster will be losing one SA player in Van der Merwe, they will be boosted by the services of Bulls fullback Zane Kirchner next season.

Meanwhile, SA's Gerhard Mostert has agreed a two-year contract to remain with the Paris-based side.
