World Cup champion Springboks move to No 1 in rankings

Cape Town - The Springboks have moved to the top of the World Rugby rankings following their victory in the 2019 Rugby World Cup final in Yokohama.

The Springboks thrashed England 32-12 in the tournament's decider on Saturday.

With their win, Siya Kolisi's men moved to the summit of the standings, with England, No 1 prior to kick-off, slipping to third.

New Zealand moved up to second following their 40-17 victory over Wales in Friday's third-place playoff.
