Cape Town - Springbok and Sharks prop Thomas du Toit looks set to move to Irish club Ulster on a short-term deal which would cover the duration of the upcoming Rugby World Cup in Japan.
According to the BBC website, Du Toit has made 10 appearances for the Springboks, but missed out on a place in coach Rassie Erasmus' 31-man squad for this year's tournament.
Du Toit previously enjoyed a short-term stint with Munster in 2016/17.
Du Toit played as a loosehead in the early part of his career, but has since switched to tighthead.
Should the deal materialise, Du Toit will join national team-mates Lizo Gqoboka and Damian Willemse in heading abroad on short-term stints.
Ulster will have Ireland prop Jack McGrath in their ranks this season following his move from Leinster, but another front row signing Gareth Milasinovich has been ruled out for several months by a cruciate ligament injury.
