Cape Town - Rugby World Cup winners Handre Pollard and Frans Steyn have reported for duty at their French club Montpellier.

The club posted a photograph to its Instagram page on Tuesday showing the Bok pair together in the changeroom.

Both players featured in the November 2 win over England in the World Cup final in Yokohama, with Pollard starting at flyhalf while Steyn came off the bench to win his second Webb Ellis Cup.

Steyn has been playing at Montpellier since 2016 and was at Racing Metro between 2009 and 2012, but this is Pollard's first stint in Europe following seven years with the Blue Bulls in Pretoria.

Other World Cup-winning Springboks who, like Pollard, are making the move overseas after being based in South Africa for Super Rugby 2019 include Damian de Allende (Wild Knights, Japan and Munster, Ireland), Jesse Kriel (Canon Eagles, Japan), Malcolm Marx (Shining Arcs, Japan), Lood de Jager (Sale, England), Eben Etzebeth (Toulon), RG Snyman (Honda Heat, Japan), Kwagga Smith (Yamaha, Japan) and Duane Vermeulen (Kubota Spears, Japan).
