Cape Town - Looking at the celebrations that followed South Africa's Rugby World Cup win on Saturday, it was clear that captain Siya Kolisi and coach Rassie Erasmus share a close bond.
In the footage just before the trophy presentation, Kolisi can be seen trying to persuade Erasmus to join him in lifting the Webb Ellis Cup.
Erasmus, though, declines and insists that Kolisi enjoy that moment in the spotlight alone.
It has been a whirlwind few days of celebration since then, but the Boks are now on their way home before they embark on a week-long trophy tour.
Kolisi took to Instagram on Tuesday, sharing a picture of himself and Erasmus together.
"I can’t thank you enough for everything!" Kolisi wrote.
"You believed in me when I was still in school, worked under you at Western Province & now we are sharing this moment forever!"
It was Erasmus who awarded Kolisi his first professional rugby contract at Western Province when he was 18-years-old.
