Cape Town - Wales have been dealt a cruel blow just days before their Rugby World Cup semi-final against the Springboks with the news that fullback Liam Williams will not play due to an ankle injury.
Wales coach Warren Gatland has yet to name his team to face South Africa but Leigh Halfpenny is now expected to start at 15.
The injury is severe enough to rule Willams out of the final as well, should the Welsh beat the Springboks.
Gatland is also sweating over the injury to center Jonathan Davies and it is yet unclear if he will make the starting line-up for Sunday's match.
Sunday's match kicks-off at 11:00 (SA time).
